You’re More Productive Than You Think

“Man, I feel like I just wasted the entire day and didn’t get one thing checked off my to-do list. How do you avoid having unproductive days like this?”

Before we jump into this week’s newsletter, I want to tell you about an exciting project that my team and I have been working on for the past year.

I can’t tell you much, except that it’s called OVERLAY, and it’s a collection of THOUSANDS of premium video editing assets, like Film Burns, Mixed Media, LUTs, SFX, and lots more.

What’s special about OVERLAY is that on the first Monday of each month, my team and I drop a brand new pack of assets for free.

But we need your help.

We want to know what looks or assets you want to see on the OVERLAY platform. You can answer with a link, a voice message, text, or even a video.

Just use the link below to send me your suggestion! 👇🏼
(if you are not seeing the link below, please click here)

I’ll be responding via video to my favorite suggestions, so don’t be shy! Help us launch OVERLAY with the best library of assets on the internet.

Mark your calendars for October 28th. I’ll share more info soon! 👀

Now… back to our regularly scheduled newsletter.

You’re More Productive Than You Think

“Man, I feel like I just wasted the entire day and didn’t get one thing checked off my to-do list. How do you avoid having unproductive days like this?”

Funny you ask this because I literally had a day like this the other week.

No matter what I did, I couldn’t get myself in the zone.

And when I personally have a day where nothing gets done, it irritates me… A LOT.

Being unproductive is one of my biggest pet peeves I have with myself.

It’s like I have this coach in my head yelling, “Get it together Landon!”

But as I was getting ready to call it quits and head home, I randomly came across this Instagram post by The New Happy Co.

As simple as it is, it opened my eyes to what a “productive day” actually is.

Yes, it’s possible to end the day feeling productive even if you haven’t spent a single minute sitting at your desk.

Instead of associating “being productive” with work, I’ve learned I need to associate productivity with my life as a whole.

If one area isn’t being cared for as it should, then I need to shift my focus to that area.

Family time is extremely productive.

Getting a good sweat in is extremely productive.

Helping others is extremely productive.

And yes, sitting on your couch watching Netflix can sometimes be extremely productive.

Let’s stop pretending we’re robots and just start living a full and happy life.

You’re doing much better than you give yourself credit for.

If your goal is to live a productive life, I think you’re on the right track.

Keep going.

You got this 👊🏼
