For the past few weeks, I’ve teased our new editing asset library, OVERLAY.

As a content creator, different LUTs and transitions and SFX have always kind of been my “crutch” to be able to produce visually-pleasing content FAST.

I think there’s a misconception that editing assets like the ones below are for EDITORS, and editors only… but they’re actually a great way to elevate ANYONE’S content.

Even my Mom— an art teacher— has been using the LUTs and SFX from the OVERLAY Master Bundle to make better videos for her Instagram page.

I also gave about a dozen beta testers “early access” to try it out, give us feedback, and share their work.

When I began the process of acquiring the Full Time Filmmaker company from Parker last year, I immediately felt like a total imposter— like I wasn’t supposed to be there.

I think what a lot of our readers often forget is that there’s another person on the other side of these emails. Someone who, more than anything, wants to create solutions that’ll fuel the creative community.

Those solutions have allowed me to complement the existing framework that Parker has built with Full Time FIlmmaker… and after a year of development…

OVERLAY is my newest contribution.

My team and I have quietly worked on this project since last year. And when I say “quietly”, I mean it. Even Parker had no idea this was a thing until I gave him a sneak peek last week:

I curated 10 out of the thousands of assets included in the “Early-Bird Master Bundle” and put them in this free sample pack.

I had three goals when I started creating OVERLAY:

1. Launch with thousands of assets and release a new pack every month. The users vote on what they want to see next.

2. Don’t restrict any user’s downloads or usage, even if they cancel.

3. Make it the most affordable asset library out there.

There are more than 40 asset packs in the Master Bundle. If we sold each pack of assets individually, you’d spend well over $2,000… but at launch, they’ll be 90% off.

From Nov. 4th thru the 11th, you can join for less than $17/ month.
